Do You Know Him?

Salvation begins with faith in Jesus Christ and believing that He died on the cross for your sins -sins of the past, present, and future.
This is the type of faith you need to be forgiven of your sins and to obtain peace with God. For you to be “born again”, you must agree and admit to God that you are a sinner. Here is how you can do it
s:

A.

Admit you are a sinner and tell the Lord you want to turn from it. Jesus said, “…except ye repent,ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).

B.

Believe that “….Christ died for your sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

C.

Confess… Trust in Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord. Romans 10:9 says, “…if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

The time to trust in Christ and to make Him the object of your faith, is now! You can do it today by praying something like this.

“Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and that in my own strength I cannot do anything to please You or to earn eternal life. I believe that You love me and that You sent your Son to die on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin. I now put my faith in You and trust completely in Jesus Christ to save me. I desire to turn away from my sin and to let You take control of my life. Amen.”

The Bible says, ” Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Cor. 5:17

My friend, if you prayed that prayer in all sincerity, you can say,”I am now saved and in the family of God!”. You are now “born again” through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ and from this moment being transformed continuously by the Holy Spirit to be conformed into the image of Jesus Christ.

The next step you must take is to find yourself a place to worship — a bible-believing, Bible-teaching church that will help you to understand your salvation and who you are in Jesus Christ. St. Matthew’s Baptist Church is a great place to begin!

Come fellowship with us and experience it for yourself!
